Postdoctoral Research Scientist

Academic Qualifications

Biography

Alec is from Jupiter, FL and received his bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Virginia in 2019. During his undergraduate career, Alec investigated the effects of focused ultrasound hyperthermia and microbubble cavitation on the secretion, proteomic profile and anti-tumor immunogenicity of cancer-derived extracellular vesicles under the guidance of Dr. Richard Price. Alec joined UEIL as an M.S./Ph.D candidate in the summer of 2019 and is currently developing novel platforms for focused ultrasound-mediated blood-brain barrier opening and drug delivery to enable more effective and accessible treatment of neurological disorders.
