Biography
Yangpei Liu graduated from Duke University in May 2021 with a M.S. in Biomedical Engineering. At Duke, he worked with Dr. Kathryn Nightingale to investigate 3D Shear Wave Elasticity Imaging based on a 64 by 16 custom matrix array with simulations (DYNA and Field II) and phantom experiments (Verasonics System). Yangpei also gained a fundamental background in HIFU histotripsy during his time at Xi’an Jiaotong University. Yangpei joined UEIL as a PhD candidate in the fall of 2021. The focus of his research will be on harmonic motion imaging (HMI).
