Sam graduated from Harvard University with a major in Biomedical Engineering on the electrical sub-track and a minor in Neuroscience. During his undergrad, Sam worked at the A.A. Martinos Center for Biomedical Imaging developing an atlas for the infant brainstem using optical coherence tomography (OCT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and subsequently in the Harvard Biorobotics Laboratory developing a generalizable and accessible platform for muscular ultrasound strain imaging. As an MSc-PhD candidate at UEIL, he is excited to be pursuing work combining ultrasound imaging with focused-ultrasound neuromodulation for targeted, non-invasive therapies in neurological and psychiatric diseases. Outside the lab, Sam loves trying new sports like volleyball and judo, as well as reading and writing short stories.
