Saachi Munot

Ph.D. Student

Academic Qualifications

B.S. Engineering: Neuroengineering (with Distinction & Honors), Stanford University, (Stanford, CA, USA), 2023
M.S. Applied and Engineering Physics, Stanford University, (Stanford, CA, USA), 2024

Saachi graduated from Stanford University with a bachelor's degree in Engineering with a specialization in Neuroengineering conferred with Honor's and Distinction (2023) as well as Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Phi. She graduated with a coterminal Master's degree in Applied and Engineering Physics (2024). Her honor's thesis as an undergraduate focused on 'Improving the sensitivity of transcranial doppler ultrasound using physics informed phase aberration correction', supervised by Dr. Jeremy Dahl. During her time at Stanford, Saachi worked in the Dahl Lab on sound-speed estimation, aberration correction, attenuation and dispersion estimation using ultrasound. She also worked in the Precision Neurotherapeutics Lab (Keller Lab) investigating the spatiotemoral dynamics of plasticity in humans induced by direct cortical stimulation. Saachi joined UEIL as a PhD candidate in the fall of 2024. The focus of her research will be on ultrasound neuromodulation and functional brain imaging.
