Biography

Born in 1987, in Nantes, France, Pierre integrated the Ecole Normale Superieure in 2006, in the Applied Physics Department. This school specifically prepare students to the academic careers (teaching jobs and research positions).
During these four years of formation, he passed the competitive examinations of aggregation in Physics, in 2009, and graduated in Medical Imaging, in 2010.
After three years of researches in the Laboratoire d'Imagerie Parametrique, focused on the ultrasonic characterization of the cortical bone of the femoral neck using guided waves, he received his Ph.D. in Acoustical Physics at Universite Pierre et Marie Curie - Paris 6 in 2013. He got a one year position at the same university to teach in the Engineering Mechanics Department and to pursue his research, in the Laboratoire d'Imagerie Biomedicale, resulting from the merging of the Laboratoire d'Imagerie Parametrique and the Laboratoire d'Imagerie Fonctionnelle.

In October 2014, he joined the UEIL as a post-doctoral research scientist involved in the cardiac and vascular projects.
