Biography

Maria Eleni Batatoudi was born in Athens, Greece. She is currently an undergraduate sophomore majoring in Electrical Engineering at Columbia University. In 2023, Maria worked as an intern at Ellaktor in Greece, working on the construction and operation of waste treatment plants in biomass exploitation and studying the electronic systems of Attica Tollway (ring road of Athens). She also participated in international STEM fairs, where she created and tested physical prototypes of ”Photovoltaic 3D Printed Trees” with Arduino automations. Applying her electrical engineering knowledge, she joined the Ultrasound and Elasticity Imaging Laboratory to do research in pulse wave imaging and processing for vascular disease detection.
