Alumni

Georges Chabouh recieved an M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, with double diploma from both the Lebanese University Faculty of Engineering (ULFG-II) and Institut National des Sciences Appliquées (INSA) Toulouse in 2018 followed by a Master of Research in Fluid Dynamics, Energetics and Heat Transfer. He completed his Ph.D. at Université Grenoble Alpes in 2022, focusing on novel targeted drug delivery using microbubble shell buckling technology. Subsequently, joined Olivier Couture’s lab at Sorbonne University to develop 3D Ultrasound Localization Microscopy (ULM) for stroke treatment, volumetric sensing-ULM for the segmentation of kidney glomeruli and shear wave elastography for fatty liver disease. In 2022, he received the PEPS CNRS award ”La Mécanique du Futur” and the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Seal of Excellence award. He chaired the Gordon Research Seminar on Tissue Microstructure Imaging in 2023. He is currently an Associate Research Scientist at Columbia University in New York, working with Professor Elisa Konofagou on blood-brain barrier opening techniques for treating neurodegenerative diseases and on coronary artery disease early diagnostics.
