Biography
Emily Baccaglini grew up in New Jersey, about an hour outside of New York City, and is currently an undergraduate senior in Columbia’s biomedical engineering program with a concentration in imaging. Upon graduation, she plans to pursue a PhD in biomedical engineering with a focus in medical imaging.
Emily has been an intern with the UEIL for one year now, working in the Harmonic Motion Imaging (HMI) group. Her research has included creating a pixel based outlier rejection algorithm for image data processing, as well as developing a method to use HMI to collect anisotropy measurements in breast tissue.
