Biography

Daniella was born and raised in New York City. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from The City College of New York, majoring in biochemistry and minoring in mathematics. Seeking clinical translation through engineering principles, she is currently pursuing her Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University.

Daniella was previously an intern at UEIL upon her high school graduation and characterized the acoustic stability of lipid-shelled microbubbles under therapeutic ultrasound parameters. Upon her acceptance to Columbia, she returned to UEIL where her research highlights the effect of focused ultrasound mediated blood-brain barrier opening on the blood-cerebrospinal fluid barrier.
