Biography
Christian is from Denmark and graduated from the University of Delaware in 2014 with an Honors Bachelor of Biomedical Engineering and minors in Mathematics and Bioelectrical Engineering. He spent the beginning of his undergraduate career focused on an education in the sciences but with extracurricular interests in politics, working on the campaign team for the former State Treasurer of Delaware and later as campaign manager for the current holder of the 11th State Senate District.
Christian spent much of 2013 working as a research assistant for the DarkSide group at Princeton University and briefly at the Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso in Italy, designing a distillation apparatus aimed at removing Polonium-210 from water.
His research interests is medical device design and translational medicine. He went on to complete a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at Columbia University where he worked as an intern at the UEIL. Christian joined the lab as a PhD candidate during the summer of 2015.
