Biography
Cagla Ozsoy graduated with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from ETH Zurich, Switzerland, in 2022, and an M.S. in Biomedical Engineering from Bogazici University, Istanbul, Turkey, in 2017. During her Ph.D., she contributed to the development of volumetric real-time optoacoustic tomography (OAT) systems for ultrafast imaging of mechanical waves in the heart and optoacoustic monitoring of RF and HIFU ablation treatments in Dr. Daniel Razansky's Multi-scale Functional and Molecular Imaging Lab. She continued in the same lab as a Postdoctoral Researcher, leading a collaborative project funded by ETH Zurich to develop a smart and compact hybrid optoacoustic and ultrasound data acquisition system. In September 2024, she joined the Ultrasound Imaging Elasticity Laboratory (UEIL) as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist. Her current research focuses on non-invasive ultrasound imaging techniques for electromechanical activation mapping of the heart for arrhythmia characterization, as well as 3D ultrasound imaging.
