Biography
Dr. Abhirup Samaddar earned his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Biomedical Acoustics from the University of Kansas in 2025. His research interest is focused to acoustic cavitation, in which he investigated the therapeutic efficacy of focused ultrasound for ablating vessel occluding tissues, and diabetic wound healing respectively. He has extensive research experience in pulsed focused ultrasound ablation of vessel occluding tissues including atherosclerotic plaque and deep-vein thrombus tissue. In his free time, he loves to read books and watch movies.
