Biography

Aman graduated from the George Washington University in May 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering. At George Washington, she worked in a cardiac physiology lab under Dr. Matthew Kay, where she investigated chemogenetic stimulation of cardiac cholinergic ganglia to provide cardioprotection in an ex vivo rat model of myocardial infarction. Before joining UEIL, she worked under Dr. Vanessa Bellat at Weill Cornell Medicine, developing precision nanomedicine for the treatment of different types of cancer. Aman joined UEIL in the summer of 2026, as a Ph.D. (MS/PhD track) student. Her current research investigates focused ultrasound blood-brain barrier opening for the treatment of different neurodegenerative diseases. Outside of lab you can find her at an improv show, on stage or off!
