Biography

Salah was born in Tunis, Tunisia. He graduated from the University of Rochester in 2018, majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a concentration in Biosignals and Biosystems. He was involved in research with Dr. Stephen McAleavey, where he worked on the characterization of imaging phantoms and the identification of the mechanical properties of materials using Ultrasound Imaging. The goal of the project was to innovate diagnostic ultrasound techniques. In 2018, Salah joined the UEIL lab at Columbia University as an MS/PhD candidate. His main research focus will be on Pulse Wave Imaging for the characterization of normal and diseased arteries.
